hi all first post,
I startted taking the boot floor out of my Disco 1 today owend the car for one week. I am going to buy the replacement main floor pannel as the side arnt that bad and can be patched. My question is that once i took the old foor out i had to remove the floor suports as thay were rotten, Could i make new one out of box section or plate and does any one have the dimentions for this. Thanks Andy

welcome. those supports are usually a bent chanel? dont see why they cant be made out of anything you fancy, or have to hand, but then again, i dont know the in and outs of disco floors. doubtless someone will show up with a pocket of knowledge and tell me to fuk off. all the best with that then, glad to have been no use at all

series or defender crossmembers are similar and still available maybe need cutting to fit but good start

This is the front cross member with the support for brake pipes:
