that is odd as you say front is higher than back, when you driving and stop at lights does the front move up and down?

no not when i stop, just as soon as i start off on a journey... ill press the button get everything right, set off then in about 20 seconds the front is higher than the back, its like the front is in offroad mode and the back is how it should be for on road driving :confused:
 
Its booked in at my dads mates garage tomorrow so hopefully he will have and answer for me at the end of tomorrow ill hopefully let everyone no :)

Hi all, right the garage have been looking today and they have found that the main line from the battery had been bodged together and left draped over the exhaust and the plastic had melted and was short circuiting. There having a good check around car for me tomorrow and giving it a full service before i finally get my car on the road,

definitely, im glad its not a big problem ! You think I should trust the bmw engine to get me to Cornwall one long weekend from Nottingham ? :confused: or is it risky also with jet ski on back
 
do it, ive been allover in mine, kent, wales and east coast, with pikey wagon to cleethorpes. its a v8 tho!!!
 
Suppose im in the AA not that ther any good, but theres always a tow truck available within 3 hours ! its just the inconvenience :p
 
No worries, do it! Mine managed 1700 mile round trip tour of Ireland in 10 days this summer without a murmur or hiccup and put in great mpg too, with 5 up and boot load of kit. Well chuffed considering the probs I had in the spring!
 
That's alright then, spoke to garage again today hes serviced it and says its quiet a good car, engine sounds a little tired but will be good for another 50,000 miles + with service regularly enough, quiet pleased about that :) also hes had it on the ramp and checked all air bags, its got 2 new bags on the front and thats why he thinks it was standing higher at the front so all good :)

Go for it, my old girl travels many many miles every week and touch wood, hasn't missed a beat yet engine wise......other than a skirmish with a road rage caravan twit in the depths of Norfolk, nothing else has gone amiss.....I do around 1000 miles a week or so in her....18.8 MPG , petrol V8......
