My name is Joshua, I am the proud owner of a hand me down 2005 Freelander which I so generously received for a ridiculously small amount of money and has served me incredibly well. It is a tad bit small for me as I am over 6 feet tall, and that is the only reason I do not drive it all the time. I am impressed with its over all performance and reliability, and have actually come to be fond of, and accept of all the quirks I understand to be inherently Landrover ?
I have referred to this sites forums on numerous occasions as a guest while sorting through the few problems I have had with it, and have some mechanical skills, as well as being some what electrically capable. Most recently pried my 74 year old mom out of her 89 Lincoln LSC with a 5 litre engine modified with Headers, dual exhaust, and an aftermarket computer which allowed her to eat most vehicles out of the stop lights for breakfast. She actually was only willing to do so as she felt the little freelander was acceptable in the way of stature for her, as they are not very common, and the all wheel drive allows her to tool around the streets in the snow in a way she could not in her rear wheel, drive very heavy, slip sliding, feels like driving a water bed Lincoln. I am certain it will take a pry bar to get her loose from her little landy. Can someone please help me get mom back on the road ?

Hi and welcome.

I can't help I'm afraid but you will most likely find the answer in the freelander section.
