Hi ya does anybody know how 2 lock the engine so i can tighten the crank pulley bolt which has come loose ..
Its the BMW 2.5TD straight 6 engine with the M51 head ..
You need a special tool to hold pulley tightening sequence is 100 nm + 60 degrees + 60 degrees + 30 degrees. Or 100 nm and two and half flats from a mark. How the hell has that managed to come undone they are pretty tight? If you don't do it properly you will lose the oil pump drive. To give you some idea it's the large cranked tool in this box.
