hi there
does anyone know of some one who can help me in tyrone/derry area?
my key battery died, lost codes/sync
bought new key (not cheap clone/copy) needed it resynced
had several mechanics out looking at it, no joy
last auto electrics man reprogramed it to fix it then gave up.
next man discovered its now reading as a French 4.0l petrol left hand drive, which is not helping as its a uk p38 2.5d 1997 model
can some one point me to a mechanic/auto electric person who can fix this for sure, I have my share of wanna bees who failed
and names dealers garages of some one who can sort me out would be great
waiting and hoping

BECM is scrambled in alarm mode you need at the very least a Nanocom to reset it. That may or may not be possible. If the Nanocom does not work send it the rick the pick (Member on here) he can reset it with Faultmate extreme.
 
thanks for the reply, now I wonder if anyone local to me has a nanocom?
been 4 weeks of the road waiting on several people to fix it, kinda getting to a point of buying a different motor! (not)

Whoever does it will really need to know what they are doing. It maybe possible using Nanocom to go through and reset the parameters then enter the EKA code. If that is accepted job done, if not it will have to go on a Faultmate extreme with the very expensive unlocking module to be sorted. Even the Rover diag won't do that. PM Rick the pick and ask him about it.
