Started my disco 2 this morning and have a constant amber light on the ace.
this all goes straight over my head any ideas what could be wrong

Ok, the first thing to do is check to see if there is enough fluid in the ACE header tank in the engine bay. If you need to top it up you will ned to get 1 ltr of ACE low temp fluid available from all good Land Rover outlets.

If you happen to be at the north end of county durham towards newcastle, you're welcome to pop up and i'll tell you what Nanocom says is wrong with it.

But yeah, do what Dave says and check it isnt something simple to spot but potentially expensive to fix like a fluid leak first.

.....and the ACE fuse and relay in the engine bay(F15>15A, R14). The best thing is to plug in a tester....if no fault code then it's a bad contact somewhere(especially within the engine compartnment fusebox or multiplugs)
