Hey Folks,

My name is Gav and iv just bought a Landrover ... now i know its the baby model but i don't really need it for that much off road stuff :). I am very very very very very excited ... and even more so for snow. I have previosly had quite a few cars, but all have been a bit boring (ford focus etc).

Hopefully I wont need you for too much but im sure some niggles will come up ... as they always do :)

Gav

sorry, probably should have explained that ... yes its a freelander .. the wee baby 3 door one ... with the roof that comes off ... which confused me a bit ... why does it come off ... does it need to come off ... where would i put it once off ... lots of questions but then i figured ... i could just keep it on :p

and all of you bolt :p ... If it gets me thru the winter then im a happy chappy ... however judging by the paperwork ... most of the work has already been done?!? ... 12/03/2011, uprated head gasket, timing belt and water pump,

15/6/2010, Viscous coupling unit (whatever that is ... cost £453 quid is what it is) Rear diff and mountings ...

Full service history?

Im happy i supose

you lot really arn't filling me with much optimism in my new winter freeze car?

think i may go and sulk ... humph

You won't be the first or the last-put on a rhino skin coat and if you get a problem and take it with good grace help is at hand:D

Well I'll tell you the way it is You bought the biggest piece of **** that land rover has made. Get your self a Haynes manual and start reading, the better the sooner.

Next time get advice before you buy not after, could save some money that way.
And there is a lot of experts on here to get info from. You bought it hang in there and you should get some help, but figure on taking some **** with it.

:welcome2: Beware of puddles,:D and prepare to be intimate with your head/gasket K series 1.8 engine can be a piece of ****e. The K series single handedly ruined Rover In my opinion! You may be lucky, I hope you are.
