Helloo discolovers, i am getting my fathers disco 1 tdi .. and i wanna make a few changes. Any tips for making it accelerate faster?? Open for some interior tips also (wanna be modern)
Cut the roof off and alwats start by driving over a cliff!

my guess is a mk4 fiesta, but its still a huge waste of time and effort, in my opinion, and probably most peoples!
anyway, as soon as you get a disco 1, rip all the carpets out, throw all the underlay in the bin and decide how much of the floor you need to replace.

Hi,
Only some suggestions, had one of these 5 years ago and did lots of work to it.
Make sure it's running properly in the first place, after that it's the usual - improved air filter - exhaust - EGR valve removal kit - turbo/intercooler and so on ............ as with all motors ............ how much do want to spend.
Plenty of suppliers on the net etc ............. but remember they're not ment to go that quick ! ........ but you can improve em
Also look into HID conversion kits for the headlights ........ really worth doing for improved vision ........... dont go more than 6000k though

After a series of oil changes and a bloody good service,a pump tweak and the intercooler off a Td5.With extra fans.And some bells.And a whistle.A big one.
PS....dont take it personal,everyone on here gets it at first.Best job is to get stuck in,but DO NOT think its personal or make it so.Do some searches,have a look at the specific engine forums and FAQs,and welcome to the monkey-house of the cyber-zoo !

If I wanna go fast and be modern, then I go out in my Mondeo ST220 (which has now become the wife's car!!)
If I wanna go really fast, then I go out on my Kwak ZX6R.....(which is about 2 weeks of the year..when it's not rainin, snowing or anything else!!)
If I wanna do anything else on (or off) the road, then I take my Disco....best investment I ever made.
Remember...it's a Landrover, nothing more...nothing less.
