Hi my names Mac I'm Not an Alcoholic but I maybe when I have finished doing up the Landrover!

I have a 1990 2.5 N/A 110 Ex MOD version. I have as much mechanical knowledge as a bullfrog so very keen to read and learn from the powers of wisdom on the site.

After much swearing sweating and stotting me knapper off things underneath I have managed to change the diesel tank and exhaust system, I am doing it up and it's roadworthy but so much I want to do like try and sound proof the inside fit a radio to take away the rattle of the windows, fit better seats etc etc
I'm from Northumberland originally but currently live in Rugby and spend my days off doing bits and bobs to the Landrover.

Enough of my random ramblings and hello to everyone on the site

Good job it's a defender I've got a P38 and can't afford to be a **** head of I would be lol!

Knapper = Head...... stott = bang.... Ie oooo ya f##ker that hurt

Thanks For the welcome guys
although I'm far from a mechanic it seems quite easy to get at things underneath and finding bits is extremely easy and I've found if you shop around can get stuff at a decent price.

Probably why I'm enjoying doing it so much as it's a feather under the cap so to speak and not handing money over to a garage and paying them for labour! Extremely satisfying knowing you have done things yourself, and some of the threads on here give you hints tips which makes it even better.

LOL - thanks for the translation

spent a week in Jesmond once but never really ventured north of Sage HQ by the airport or Whitley Bay - didn't have a phrase book
