Hello to every one, new to this, just brought a 1999 td5 es and have noticed that people are always talking about EGR blanking plates. What do they do? How do they work? I was thinking about getting a chip fitted for a bit more power can you still have one of these plates when you've got a chip? Will they go through an MOT with one of these blanking plates fitted?

hi, and welcome from a fellow newbie..
just fitted a egr blank in my td5, easy job and does seem to have improved things ..
i do have a tunit box fitted but this was done by a previous keeper.
the disco does seem to go well but having nothing to compare to makes it difucult to comment too much..
