Morning all.
I'm Archie, I'm the 14 year old son of lunatic.
We're 'in the blood' Landy people. I tend to sway towards Series motors; only diesels. But my father (the afor mentioned lunatic) likes Landies that can out run hot hatches...

His 1979 Range Rover is the treasured baby, it's the only Landy We've ever had that lives indoors But despite the regular polishing and lack of off road (ab)use It's heart is a Race tuned 3.5 V8 capable of producing 9ft long black lines and so much grunt he has out run a ford escort Cosworth...

His TD5 110 CSW has a whopping 210hp at the wheels and a P38 transfer box (we've had 115mph), not as much power as the Rangy but plenty... It's also his daily driver and the over-lander.

The final Landy in my fathers possession is a 1994 soft dash Range Rover. A beautiful truck, with many many miles. she has been our work hack, all off-roading has been done in it. she's even been used for following the hunt.

My Landies are a tad older.

The first one I bought was a 1968 ex trials IIA diesel. which I'am re-building with a Salisbury rear axle, long wheel base brakes, factory recon Engine etc. the perfect trials motor. AKA NAD

The second one I bought was a 1967 pre trials IIA diesel, can you see a pattern? AKA Ratty, sadly Ratty is no longer with us, I broke him for parts...

The third and worst Landy I bought was a 1992 Discovery 200tdi, it was ****, not even deserving of a name... now dead!

The last one I bought was a 1963 IIA 109 diesel, as an engine donor. Rusty (appropriate name) was a recovery truck but had his id sold by a PO then he sat abandoned so I'm 'borrowing' parts.

Welcome fella.... you'll earn your stripes in here all right but shoudl we accept a 14 year old into the hallowed ground of LZ anything goes?

A scary prospect at best!

However.... Having a 12 year old with similar interests and skills I would like to wish you well with your vehicles and look forward to reading more of your exploits!

Dont worry about the links it is all part of a new thing by the browswer chappies to make our browsing more advertising related!

Yep :D

LZ is a bit.......um.......livelier

This was my reasoning, very nearly got banned for a thread about racing on a ring road that we blew our O/D on... I value my membership in the SII club too much to let my 'evil' side through. I upset the rivet counters allot there:boxing:

:welcome: Arch, if i can remember 14 well enough, im sure you wont read or see anything in here that will shock you too much;)

just steer clear of the political bullsh1t that floats about, that stuff will rot your mind, but enjoy the porn (both landy and lady) revel in the colourful language and absorb the wealth of landy related info on here.

just the reason for joining, series II club forum doesn't approve of me sometimes...
I've scouted about on here, nothing out of the ordinary for a 14 year old to see
