Hiya all new to the forum, recently purchased a Freelander 2003 1.8 petrol (you all sigh & wonder why), it was a fair price,& serviceable for my Job, ( used to have a Range rover & Disco 200tdi before the big Job chop), I'm having a power loss problem going uphill, I've changed plugs, coil, mat sensor, air metre, cleaned in tank fuel filter, removed prop (viscous coupling fooked), still not much better, any help

i see where your going with this Seadog, but i was hoping it might be a cheap fix, all joking aside its right annoying getting lorries laughing at you, in my old 200 i could take it, if i canny sort it friday with all fluid changes & aux belts it might be a p38 for the drive

Are you getting enough fuel to the cylinders?

Do you have a smoky exhaust, if so, what colour is the smoke?
