Hello folks,
I have been floating round here for a while now doing the research etc on the vehicle that I have kinda accidently bought........
A 1999 1.8 Freelander.....
Yes I said accidently as it did belong to a relative I was asked to service and MOT it, but it failed badly on emissions with a misfire....... I put some prices together for parts to repair hg or replace engine including timing belt etc. and as a throw away sentence said....
"It's too good to scrap so if you buy something to replace it I will give you a fair price for it......."
Famous last words ehh?!?!
So I am now the owner of a freelander and ready to take the abuse that comes with it... But I should be ok as my last car was a volvo......
Anyway, exhaust valves replaced, multi layer hg, all other top end gaskets, new timing belt and tensioner. And tah-dah a lovely new MOT.
I intend to keep it for a while and do the rest of the bits and pieces that it needs so I am gonna stay!
See you in the forums.
