Partial success. 
wheel bearings shot. 1/4" play.
No grease, or what looked like a quick smear of black treacle
stripped the outer wheel bearing, cleaned it all up. regreased it best we could and tightened it back, but the inner bearing is fecked.
We decided not to remove the complete hub, because we thought we either wouldn't be able to get it back on, or we would be stuck with a pile of bits at the side of the road.
I left Poppy talking to my mate and going to attempt to limp home. She will book it in tomorrow. It is a sad indictment of the quality of work from one of the local Landy independants.
Caliper seems ok - just pistons pushed back because of wobbly wheel.
if anyone is available between Basingstoke & Windsor. Please shout and standby.

Very annoyed at said garage who charged a fortune for several jobs which have all turned out to be badly done or not done at all
But hey ho, trial and error and I've learned loads about wheels callipers bearings today so there's alway a positive
pop in some time.

Sure is, I think a open on Sunday wheel bearing parts supplier would be invaluable!
They'd make a killing being open on a Sunday lol.
