Hi Guys, need some advice on a heavy duty clutch that will take some battering-

Looking to purchase a heavy duty clutch for my disco 200 tdi 1992.

Truck is normally used for laning and some off roading.
So any advice on which clutch and where to purchase from would be appreciated.

It will require more leg power to operate and hold down

I've got a 200/300 HD clutch for sale, its the late one with the wider friction plate if wanted

Done 3000 miles on it so plenty of meat left on the plate

Go for a decent brand, don't be tempted to buy cheap patterned ****e. Changing the clutch is not summit you ould want to do often.

Some people will tell you they have had no issues with britpart. I have and so have millions of others, i wouldn't touch them with some one else's.

I went valeo when i did mine, they have been producing OEM LR parts for centuries and have a good rep.

Borg and Beck are nicer than Valeo on the 300tdi, the Borg ones have a few extra springs in there to make it a bit smoother

No idea on TD5 though

you won't be disappointed. Make sure you do the release bearing and clutch fork while you are in there. You don't want to have to drop the box out a few months later when your new clutch causes other bits to fail.

Also if you have access to a welder, weld a tab over the fork so that the rod will not push through the back of it. I.E make it a HD clutch fork.
