Hi everyone recentley baught a 98 disco 300tdi manual and noticed the clutch pedal is heavy. Returns all way back up, goes into gear fine just very heavy and can hear it squeak when working it. ive done a search but cant find anything apart from ones that are low down and not engaging. Any help would be great thanks

Depends what you call heavy and what you are comparing it to.
They are not the lightest of clutches.

You'll get used to it ...

it stops you riding the clutch in traffic ...

The springs on your pressure plate are stronger than the one on your pals disco.
Short of pulling the engine and changing it, you're not going to improve it unfortunately!

I have found that as diaphragm clutches get older/worn they do get heavier on L/R
when replacing buy the best you can afford, a decent clutch should not be unduly heavy.
