My 1993 RRC,with a 2.5TDi engine,is without a heater at the moment.I am living in the Oswestry area, and I have been quoted £100 for the heater and £400[ouch]for the labour.Anybody know of a Good garage, who may be able to do it cheaper?I know the whole of the dash and instrument binnacle have to be removed, but do they?Is there a different way to do the job?Has anybody put together a dismantling plan, that does not mean pulling all the dash out?
I am quite happy to work with somebody,as a gofor,and still pay them,as long as it's not £300 - £400.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I don't think there's any option to taking the dash out to do the heater. £400 equates to 8 to 10 hours depending on his hourly charge which I don't think is too bad for the job. Still a lot of money I agree but it is very time consuming.

Are your sure thats whats wrong with it?

whats the symptoms?

If its blocked you can flush it easily, matrix only needs changing if it leaks and the motor only need changing if it doesnt work/blow and all other electrical faults have been eliminated.

Hi, Thanks for your reply, regarding my heater problems, well it's got to be fixed,so that's that.

Thanks again,

Chris.
