How about looking for where the passenger seat plugs in? Might give a clue as to where the driver's seat lead goes.

It's an AMP 2-Way Sealed MQS Connector
The 'Tell-Tale' indicator on the switch will light up in the 'ON' position, whether the seat heater is working or not, because the indicator is connected to the output side of the switch.
This is where the connector (C1403) is mounted under the driver's seat -

I had the same problem and found a wire had come off the heater pad in the seat back. Soldered it back on yesterday.
If you have a multimeter it should be easy to see whether you are getting power to the seats and where it is going missing.

hi long time no speak = had to do some diy to keepwifey happy!! i still cant find where this plug goes the wire that goes to the seat bottom is in place- but doesnt heat, the light comes on on the switch, also seperatly when i start the engine the fuel gauge drops to zero for a split sec then come back to normal any ideas? thoight it could be the earth
