hello All

here we go again. Another problem arises.Out today in the rain and switched on heated rear window to clear mist on glass.
No working light on button and no heated rear window.
Checked fuse, OK, checked all connections on rear window were ok.All fine.
Total limit of my electrical knowledge.
Any ideas please

If u have checked the connections and found quote "all fine" I assume that must include the 12v supply and the earth return therefore you must have a iffy element in the glass.

Or possibly Multi -function Unit, I believe they have some control of the rear window especially seeing the light on the switch hasn't come on? Don't quote me on it though

Update on progress.
Really not a lot. Bit low down on priorities at moment.
Power definitely at fuse. Pulled switch out and removed insides. Earthed lead and checked each wire. No power. Is it possible the relay?.
Eventually found it under the glovebox and as far as I can find out the part no is LWB10012coloured yellow..
And there are 5 in a row, 3 yellow, two green.
Anybody throw a light on this idea. The relay seems to be used for many applications in Rover/MG/Freelander/Rangerover etc. Going away for a week and will check further when I get back.
Keep the ideas coming please

thanks

forgot to ask. The switch is a push/push switch. Is it feasible to swop it for the High Intensity rear light switch just to check it is ok or not?

Electrics are an alien species to me.

cheers
