right dunt even know where where to start here but ill do my best
right, firstly about a year ago my main beam came on by them selfs even when there was no ignition and switched off at the light stalk.
used to take the fuses out when i wanted the lights off and vice versa.
changed the stalk, no difference.
looked at the plugs on the back of the lights, all corroded so new plugs went on and all soldered and shrink wrapped.
problem still persists so i tried the relay for the lights under the steering column, problem still persisted so i left it unplugged and could get sidelights.
plugged it back in and my lights didnt come on even with the fuses in....
if i put my stalk on main beam i then got headlights?????
now they just stay constantly on and i have to remove the plugs to get the lights off???
really need some help now on this one. really attemp to solve things myself but am more than struggling.
just bought a hid xenon set for it but done see the point in changing them just yet incase i damage the bulbs by arseing around with it all.
can anyone shed some light  (bad pun) ;)

i do have a moss alarm but its disconected and has been for some time as i lost the key fob for it. also its only wired into the hazards.

Thought that might be too easy , had a look at wiring diagram on rave but cant see any real problem areas . Cant see much just now think i had 1 too many !!! def some wiring fault .. bad earth being the most common . Will have a look at all the wee squiggly bits again tomorrow and see if i can come up with summit

looked through wiring diagram , but just cant see any problem areas . only possible ideas are faulty light switch / stalk but i think you said that had been replaced , or a faulty relay . difficult to come up with ideas when i cant see it

thats the prob with electrical though, yer cant see fook all! done both stalks and relay, cheers for looking into it stevie.

well the next bit is more difficult then , time to get re-wiring !! either get one out a scrapper or make your own . even try a cable from switch to lamp via relay to see if that works , could be that the wire has corroded inside

Bugger!! can't find the piccy!!!
Ye know the one with 2 bits of wire with clamps on the ends and a bulb in the middle type thingy, so's ye can tell if yer wire's rotted or broke;) :D
