What upgrade bulbs have you put in your P38 to help improve the light output?

Not interested in HID's going in to a reflector - it's tacky, annoys the hell out of other drivers (including me) and is basically illegal in most cases.

Has anyone 'upgraded' to cree-type bulbs without issue and, if so, what did you go for?

Edit: Just to add, before I'm crucified, I've read the other L322 thread about upgrades and bulbs though I believe the OP is running HID's (correctly). So, looking at this post: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/3275873-post11.html I'm wondering if they're a suitable 'upgrade' for the standard H7's in the P38?

Doubt you'll find a retro fit Cree LED that will even match the output of your current halogen lamps

No CREE LED currently available that I'm aware of will provide a good beam with a standard reflector.
Some use night breakers and other higher output bulbs, personall I've always found the lights to be more than adequate for the vehicles capability.

LED is the way forward

But Led in your halogen lens would be just as bad as fitting a HID

Yep, lots of new cars now have LED headlights.

I put them ring/phillip plus 120% h4 halogen bulbs in and they are far better than what was in there
