Hi all, well i have had my disco in for head gasket, (skimmed) cam belt, auxillary belt all filters,and lubricants. When i picked myself off the floor at the cost, my disco doesn't seem any different. No smoke when i started her up but after 6 miles and sat idling at home a few pumps on the accelerator and there it was the dreaded smoke. Not sure if it is just bedding in but i am questioning myself if the work was actually done. If the head gasket was skimmed as told would i get a testing certificate To prove this. I have noticed at the front of the head there is some orange sealant is this normal. Any comments regarding this would be appreciated .

The Orange Sealant is normal if the rocker/head has been off. Did the garage send your head off for a crack test? If not it sounds like there may be a hair line crack in it. My advice is to take back to the garage that done it or send to another garage and send the bill to the garage that "done it first"

Park it across the entrance to the garage with a huge sign syaing "My disco is dead" These Comboys killed it" "then they Robbed me" That should get some sort of reaction from them.
