Just to echo this he patiently talked me through it on the phone twice and gave me advice via pm. Made a massive difference to my 2.5na, smoother pickup, better top end speed and i can stay a whole gear higher for most situations now. Proper decent chap.
My kettle will always have a brew for you should you find yourself down my way.
I still have a bit more fine tuning but due to breaking my leg it's laid up in the garage till I can get back out there (will be next year lol)

Engine was a flat as a fart and had a bit too much diesel knock (although I thought the thing was about to self destruct - chalk that down to experience!!)
Pulls like a train now, and diesel knock has halfed at least

I still think that it could still do with the pump advancing a couple of degrees or so, but that's for another day.
One of the problems is that all the adjustments and stops have been clagged up with paint, and I didn't want to break anything!
My biggest problem is that now my wife has seen Ben's Landy, she wants another!
Got to admit that he has one of the cleanest Landies I have seen in a long time, with the chassis just about as perfect as they come!

After looking at all of the flaky paint coating each and every screw thread, I think my winter jobs may have to be to clean some off! If all else fails, I might just start systematic replacement of the extra painted bits
I am willing to wager a parking ticket envelope (whoops ... council duly complained to this morning!!) that your road will be graced with another Landy soon enough ;-)
