I still have a problem with the non existent chassis no. I have been told where it should, which it aint and I have also been told that after 98 the no's where only to the right of the rad. and in the lower right side of the windscreen. Prior to this it was by the rad and right side of chasis forward of the spring turret. I now have to go to the Guards (police) and get them to write a letter statting that the car is not under any investigation and they will be happy with this. As far as the corroded brake lines are concerned, I asked my local German land rover mechanic for a price. With me suppling bits, 30 euro a pipe. After thinking about it for 2 seconds and asking him to confirm the price, I drop it off in the morning. Feeling well pleased, I went out today to get some hay bales, and.............. the cam belt went in the 110. Such is life. :doh:
