Hi all, started to do the handbreak on my 110 300tdi today, but the big countersunk screw that holds the drum on has had it and is going to need drilling out. Before I do I wanna get a new one so I'm not off the road whilst finding one. Can anyone tell me what size it is? Or looking at some of the threads is this the screw that is missing on some peoples motors (ie I can live without it?) All help welcome thanks.

From what I can tell from Microcat, defenders & discos all use a M8 x 20 screw to hold the drum on. Doesn't state pitch.

Thanks Arc, found a forum where people confirmed it's not that vital so drilled it out only to find that the problem's not the handbreak itself but the oil all over it, so looks like I need to do the output seal (whoopee). So will get a new screw for when I do the seal. Thanks again.

you dont have to fit screw its not important unless your going to run without rear prop as is prop that secures drum
