How do all, My 2000 TD4 is up for MOT Monday 21st. My handbrake works fine...well when I say its fine I mean it doesn't let the vehicle roll back or forward. My problem is there are no clicks when I apply it? As its my first FL I assumed it was normal but read a few threads about adjusting the handbrake and they all mention "4 Clicks". I got no clicks but its performs well. Will MOT fail for no clicks? Cheers
Cheers goonarmy. Yes ur right it must be holding. I checked it again and yes there is a faint click. Just sounds so quiet compared to other vehicles I've had. I can hear 2 - 3 clicks so panic over. Just hope she passes now as I serviced myself! Its a test centre we use in N.Ireland not a garage based test as in England. Anyway if it fails at least they specify why and that way I can repair or replace whats needed rather than what I thinks needed!
