Hi guys
My jobs today were to grease the props and UJ's on all the cars. I also wanted to adjust the hadbrake on the wifes '99 4.6. I noticed that on the rear UJ where it joins onto the handbrake drum all 4 bolts were loose - very loose. I have tightened them up but was wondering if this is a sign of something else that needs investigating.
Also I was following RAVE for handbrake adjustment and it says to raise one rear wheel off the ground, tighten the adjust to 25f/lbs check that drum is locked then back it off by 1.5 turns and check that drum is free to rotate. On mine without any adjustment the drum will not turn. I have the auto box in P. RAVE doesnt mention anything about the gearbox. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem?
