Where the half shaft goes into the swivel ball, should that seal be a tight fit?

Mine has gaps if i move the half shaft around.

Does this make sense?
 
Yes.

It stops the oil going from your diff into the steering ball, unless you are talking about the stub shaft that goes to the drive flange, where the bearings are greased and the seals stop the oil or one-shot grease going from the swivel ball into the hub.

Yes that makes sense. So im gona be needing a new seal then, what would it be called or should i just explain to him what i want?

if its the one that sits in the wheel hub RTC3511 Rear hub seal
