My n/a 90 kept up with a 300 90 tdi tonight on the motorway and up hill to. so much for turbos.

how fast were you going? My N/A couldn't do that I don't think, not unless the 300tdi was only doing 30mph!!

we wur doing about 60 but he was pulling a trailer but even though I'm still chuffed. All this since I played about with the pump thanks to a thread from charlsey.

Sinse you tried out CharlesY's trick, have you been getting more mpg or less? and how much quicker does it go - say 30mph quicker on straight etc?

timber jock, do you think you could find and post that thread for me please? im also running a n/a. can olny get 50-55 out of it on the motorway. i am running chunky boots though. would be nice to tweak a few extra beans outta it

will have a look for that thread its hiding in the series section.doesn't go much quicker as in top end but gets off its mark better and goes up hill now and has 165/75/16 a/t on it . mpg has stayed about the same. just happier with it now.

You know when you slacken off the nuts so that you can twist the pump? Does it move easily, and which way to improve performance, towards you or away from you?

I have to agree, since adjusting my pump I'm getting a considerable increase in performence.

I've only adjusted it the once, but reckon there's a tad more to be squeezed out of her yet.

I reckon I'm getting at least an extra 15miles to a tank too.

will sit at 70 on the flat quiet happly. don't know about drivers behind cause it is a bit loud so they know their behind a diesel.
