Hi, sorry if it's covered before. But my gutless 2001 TD5 Discovery is doing my head in. It's completely flat under 2000rpm and a nightmare to tow with especially on grass. Can I have some advice please and would getting it remapped help. I have tried unplugging the air flow meter, it was lumpy on tick over and went only a very slight bit better but not that noticeable. Has this happened recently, or is the car new to you and you think it should be better? If the latter, well they're not the fastest thing around but they're not bad. See if you can compare it to another (preferably standard) Td5 and see how it compares.
If this is a recent thing, then plugging diagnostic kit would be a good place to start. Does it get going after 2000rpm?

I am in similar situation, but to be honest I also can not decide if it is bad or it is normal. My car is manual and before I had an auto, felt better but it can not comparable.
My car also strugling below 2000rpm and start pulling after and goes very powerful above 3000rpm. I have analized all date available through Nanocom, nothing wrong (will double check MAP readings compared to real pressure gauge but probably will be also OK).
But to "look at the bright side": all other things work correctly on my car and no oil leak
