Other than this the eadvisories were hot spots on the front disks - so new disks are required and uneven wear on the front tyres so steering alignment needs looking aat. I need to get this sensor sorted first though.

Yes - the lights are on constantly regardless of road speed. Everything else is working OK - got a pulse through the pedal on braking at low speeds which probably explains the "hot spots" reported on the front disks and is why they are being replaced too.

I will ask the mechanic whether he meant physically the left hand or whether it was the diagnostic report that said left hand - don't want to replace the wrong one as the cost too much for that sort of error
