Just got all the parts I needed for to change the seals in my TDZ p/s, and whole I'm at it, two balljoints.. well, I thought I had... Turns out the drop arm ball joint is left threaded...whereas I have a right threaded one.. Too late to order the parts now, will have to put the old knackered one back on... Just as well, really, as the one I had intended to replace it with is a B**tpart one...
What bugs me a little though, is the TDZ seal replacements kit that cost about £60, contains 10 packets, with an o-ring in each, and some copper washers, but only for the arms, and not the cylinder, or the pump... So, any leaks from there, will have to be dealt with at a later date, at more expense, and two weeks postage wait!!! Moan moan....

The drop arm ball joint is usually a standard right-hand thread, although as you have a TDZ fitted, it could be specific to your particular ram link.

As long as it fits the drop arm, it should be OK.

Have you stripped the cylinder to see how it is all assembled?

I don't understand what you mean by having with an o-rings and copper washers for the arms, and not the cylinder, or the pump! Where do these fit onto the arms? I can find no reference to them!

I assumed that, yes... The bar that joins the drop arm to the ram has a left hand threaded bar, which meant I (thinking it was right hand) inadvertently tightened the tre into to bar, making it even harder to get out... If I could get the cylinder (ram) apart I would know what to do, However the Allen key bolt heads are so tight, I have tried to release them, but don't want to round off the inside.. Mole grips prove in useful, as there Is nowhere to turn, as the casing gets in the way..
The ball joint at the other end of the drop arm rod broke my splitter...
The kit comes with all necessary I-runs, and washers for the ram... But there is also copper washers on the pipes joining the pump, which are not included, and also from the reservoir, which also aren't included... These also leak!! And would obviously need replacing during a service... I can't find a kit for those... T should be I. The rather expensive kit Taft I forked out good money for...
