Are there maps for the green lanes? It would be good to find out if there are any legal short cuts for my daily drives and trips..

Another side question are councils legally ballarding of green lanes/legal roads/tracks or is it a li erty they are taking? - reason i ask theres one i know of near me tbat would be a bonus shortcut and traffic beater for me but its bollarded off at one end but im sure it shouldnt be.

Part of the track ive been down (mislead by the missis when we first met) in a fiat uno with tempra wheels on however we didnt get stuck ill never know, it would never work now with the ruts lol..

Ordinance Survey Land ranger iirc have Byways shown. Lots are being restricted these days though :(

Are the O S maps still paid for?
Are tbey legally closing tbe lanes tho or is it just jumped up jobsworth councils taking liberties?

I got mine from the shop so I have a hard copy when out laning. The only other way to do this is download them onto a laptop and carry that around with you.
A lot of lanes around mine close for winter to protect them from ruts....apparently....

Wonder if tberes anyone on bere thats qualified to checkup on these closures

Each county council has a definitive map and an RoW officer.

UCR's are a bit of a legal grey area but local Highways Officer will have a good idea though sometimes difficult to get them to voice an opinion if rights are disputed
