We had been planning a trip into the Lakes since before Xmas so even with the bad weather we decided to give it a go. It wasn't ideal filming weather and I had to throw quite a lot of footage away.

It was interesting because of the mix of vehicles. All Land Rovers but with my newer TDCi 110, a 300TDi 90 and then a nice D3, it made for some interesting comparisons.

The D3 was running road tyres and other than having to take a careful line through the rocks and its electronics scrabbling for traction here and there, it coped admirably!

Nice video would like to go with you guys some time looks nice and gentle never been green laning just p&p.

Ahh so that was you in the disco, I was the one who popped over to see Freelaner

Wash your mouth out!!! I was in the black 110.

It was a bit of a mixed day but at some stages we got proper lashed!

The Lakes is a good place to go if you value your paint work. Its nice and open. You have to be driving pretty badly to do any damage!

Thats the lane I cracked my Sump on! Interesting being towed off there from just before 4.10 in the vid to the bottom!

Freelanders.. phhft :crazy_driver:

Great video, that looks like a good day out, one little question tho how would someone get off somewhere like that if you snapped something or broke down?

Out of question did the D3 wingmirrors scrape the walls on parkamoor ? Just trying to calculate something

No it didn't. Believe it or not the lad in the D3 is quite precious about his motor so we took are time and all was fine.

The D3 is .6" narrower body than my new Dana axle will be so that sounds good to me :D

I'll be squeezing down the lane at a very slow speed!
