Hi all,

Well this evening I have picked my 2003 TD5 ES up.

Oh my god how different to my 300tdi I absolutely love it.

Anyway whilst messing about as you do I thought I would give the navigation a go. Worked out how to enter a post code but then the system asks me to insert dic There lies the problem - I have none !

So my question is where do I get them other than the main stealer and can anyone tell me what head unit I have as there doesn't appear to be any make on it so I can get the correct software. It's the unit that has a removable screen for security.

is it the one where the display folds down when you press the cd eject button like this

If its an ES model it should have the hardon karmon system - I think you'll find the head unit is a Becker (Traffic pro 4765 ?) - should be able to get the discs off ebay - do a search

was it sold to you as having satnav ?- if so go back to the dealer & demand the disc

Having said that - from what I've heard & read on here - the landrover factory fitted sat nav is not that good - prob better getting a Tom Tom if you want sat nav - update from your pc no probs

just looked & the 2006 release (western europe) & it's £149 from landrover

Yes that's the unit I have.

I already have a tomtom type but I just wanted it to work

I think there was a similar thread in this section a while ago - someone was after the discs & someone else offered to copy his & send them - do a search for "satnav"

bearing in mind the disc is under license and a subscription needs to be paid.

Went back to the dealer and he had removed the discs. So now I have the 2003 discs.

That'll do - Just have to use my portable sat nav.
