bin messin' with the bus tonight and found a couple of spare wires and ain't got a clue as to wot they are:confused:
One's a male and female double jobbie with a black and brown thinnish wire and a black and blue thinnish wire.
The other one's a female doodah with a black and blue thicker wire.
Also I found a black and blue wire with a male wotsit comin' from the transfer box. Should I connect the last one with the second one or will that do funny things to the bus? :D

Cheers:D

Just tried connectin' the two blue and black wires and nowt happened, still no light!!! Changed all the bulbs in me dash so that rules that out.
Silly question of the week.... wot light should come on anyways? A few of me lights have never worked so widnae know. Did get a diffrunt light workin' tho', the one that's yellow and got the choke symbol:D I found a big connector that looked like it fitted on the big relay lookin thing in the centre of the bulkhead and stuck it on. Dunno if this was deliberately taken off or if it fell off before I got, but it's bin runnin fine without it. I still don't know wot the two/ three wires hangin loose under the bus are for:confused:

Yerll have to wait a couple of days an I'll have a look at my harness to see if I can tell from that, Though at a guess the black an blue thick wire goes to the difflock switch. An the two others in the pic could be the reversing light but it could also be the wires for the handbrake on light. The choke symbol is the glow plugs light.

Cheers Grunt, Tried joinin the black blue wires but nowt happened. The reversin light switch already wurks, so it might be the handbrake:confused: Let me knows how ye get on, Cheers again:D

It's all in bits in the shed but I think I know how it goes so just needs a good coat of looking at to suss the individual wires out.

I've got a diagram for '86 onwards and a couple in the Haynes book, but i'll be buggered if I can find wot I'm lookin for!!!!!

What a muppet!!!! couldn't see the symbol that was right in front of me!!!!! Still don't light up tho?!!? Dont think me handbake light will work either, it's got no switch:rolleyes: :D

AW FFS, an even bigger muppet i be!!!! Got below the bus tonight for a better look and used a proper light this time ( not me lighter or a dyin' torch:rolleyes: ). After I gave the wires another clean, it turns out that they're not the colours I thocht:eek: The double connector is actually PURPLE/BLACK (not black/brown) and RED/SLATE (not red/white)

BUGGERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

The Blue Black wire is live an earths through the switch there should be a second wire probly black coming off the switch to a earth connector bolted to the tranny box.

I still ant got any the blue/black wire comes out of the harness all on it's Billy.
