Hi everybody, just found this forum as i'm picking up my first land rover tomorrow, it's an discovery 1 tdi, not in top condition but hoping to smarten it up as i run it,

I just noticed i'm a "junior member" not been called a junior for years, i feel younger already
 
Dan good move getting a Disco, what area of Cumbria? Advice is always given freely as is the normal amount of abuse!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Welcome 'junior' I'm not sure at which number post I lost the 'junior' I think about 30. What year and spec is your disco?
 
thanks for the welcomes, went and picked up the disco yesterday, it's a 200 tdi 1991, just under 102,000 miles, full service history, fantastic condition for it's years, small bit of rust here and there, but not much, waiting to get it on a lift and have a better look underneath, it had some welding for the last MOT so lets hope it doesn't need too much this year, the interior is like new, some small marks on the boot floor carpet, i think they will shampoo out, the body work looks good, but will need some attention here and there, it's been well looked after and never abused, just hope i can keep on top of the jobs as they need doing
