Found two scrotes robbing tools and stuff from the allotments by my house on the way back from cricket practice yesterday afternoon. Then, after staying up till 2.30 a.m. discussing not watching Inglourious Basterds on TV with Dr Evil, got woken up at 4.00 a.m. as the rozzers arrived to nick another couple of w**kers digging up and nicking the pavement outside our house - its made of yorkshire stone flags, worth £100 to £200 apiece in some places. They were even using pneumatic drills to get them up ffs. Having spent ages last night reading various posts on Landy's getting nicked, it at least made me get on the case today and I've just ordered a Disklok and Clutch Claw for my Defender - should arrive tomorrow/the day after, just praying that now I've got round to taking some security measures, it doesn't get robbed tonight by some other bunch of thieving c*nts.
 
I was once down at Gaydon on a course and they had a board up for security ideas and some comedian had written " how about a spike in the head rest linked to the alarm"
Seems fair to me only down side is the blood on your seat, oh and the inconvenience of disposing of the body.
 
Just an Idea here, but, we welded a legth of tough chain to a metal bar, then laid it under a foot of concrete when I re done all my patio & paths.
the esposed length can be chained & padlocked to "things of value"

for us, I also welded a bar on a large D lock and also buried that under the new concrete, just enough sticking out to passs a motor bike chain through.
We use this to chain our scooters/ motor bikes up to.

Now, "Idea"
if you welded a length of chain to summit big like an old disc or brake drum,
or better still an old axle case,
buried that under your concrete drive, backed your landie up to the chain, then looped it over the axle and padlocked,
then back further up over the hidden chain!

anyone who wanted to nick the landie would get a few feet then STOP suddenly with a very loud bang,
and a bit of luck put the thievin bastid through the windscreen or teeth out on your steering wheel!
