Mechanically, I guess it’s possible you might get a BMW version of the 6HP26 that would mate up to the M62 engine but then it wouldn’t take the 2-speed transfer box (which also changed when the L322 went from the 5HP24 to the 6HP26).

Electrically/electronically, all the wiring would be wrong, different ECU, software not written to talk to that engine, etc., etc. Nightmare.
