Juddering is usually the clutch drive plate glazed. When you say grinding do you mean the gears aren't engaging properly if you do this is usually the clutch on its way out or the clutch hydraulics. dunno about the high pitched noises. But at a guess your clutch is on it's way out.

sorry to jump in, but glazed clutch? wot is that exactely, i sometimes get juddering in 1st and reverse

that may make sense, gave it a hard time yesterday off roading with swporc
its yer clutch plate that gets a glass like surface to it from overheating. causing judder cos you get slip then grip then slip etc. you can fix it by going over it wiff a sander and some medium sandpaper, but why bother cos if you've got it out you might as well replace it
Geez ..... FIRSt do as the man says and check the gearbox oil levels.
FILL them as specified.
Using the clutch in slipping mode makes the linings very hot ... Like VERY VERY hot ..... like smoke and flames if you try really hard.
After the FIRST time clutch linings get that hot they are jiggered for good, AND the rubbing surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate may be damaged.
The slightly soft lining gets baked hard like a mixture of cement and glass, all shiny, and the trrouble then it it either grips or it doesn't. It becomes difficult to set off smoothly because the clutch just grabs all of a sudden often with a judder.

Just live with it, and it may get better as you get used to it!
BUT, be aware that utter failure of the linings is possible if you really cooked them.
The two linings can get so hard and brittle they just break up and drop out in bits, and you get into heaps of trouble ..Schedule a clutch job if you know you fried it.
