All the other faults prior to the Alternator fault are very common as voltage levels drop, the ABS/Traction Control and Gearbox faults are all the first items to signal warnings when volt levels dip....

I've just gone through that problem except in semi darkness I reversed the polarity trying a different battery : burned out the loom and....I assumed....screwed up the alternator. When the local indy fitted a new loom and 2nd had alternator ( from Emmot's) the garage said the alternator might be OK. I've kept it to have a leccy wizard chum have a look at it to see what reversing polarity does to an alternator.
If you want it you can have it for the postage if it's any use to you.
I also still have the old loom. Any connectors or sensors on that that I should be salvaging ? ( Haven't looked.)
