So - I have a 19j 110.
LT77 went bang - its a 50A so presume its the common output/transfer gear issue.
I have a good Lt77 from a disco (55A) but that wont fit - and rebuilding it to fit seems daft.
So my three options seem to be:
1) Rebuild my own box
2) Send to Ashcroft for a rebuild
3) try and source a second hand box and hope for the best. (I can then have a go at rebuilding my original box myself)
I also have a 200tdi from a discovery which I would like to swap at some point, but preferably I would rebuild that first - plus the 19j still has some life in it.
I've read many things about the conversion, but one thing is confusing me.
If I source a r380 replacement box (Longstick) do I need a shorter bell housing to make it all fit? I thought I'd ask before I start talking to scrappies. I understand that the discovery r380 will fit and are a bit easier to convert - again does this need a "Stumpy" bell housing to fit the TD or 200tdi.
Thanks for your input
