Hi guys I need to replace the gearbox oil in me 96 Discovery, can anyone recommend where to get some from, non of my local motor factors stock the right one

Any motor factors that doesnt stock ATF should be immediately removed from the yellow pages!

Haynes claim ATF to spec M2C33 for all D1 manual trannies.

When the R380 was first released the recommended oil was ATF Dexron IID.

More recently the recommended oil for all R380's whatever the application is MTF94 (produced by Texaco for LR, although loads of others do it as well).

Unfortunately the RAVE pages won't get updated as only the dealers get the update bulletins.

Oil suppliers don't bother updating slow sellers like gearbox oil, by comparison to the huge sales of engine oils.

Or you might want to try this:
Morris Lubricants - Morris Lubricants
It is recommended by them for the R380 gearbox and you can buy direct from them. Carriage is free on orders over £50 which you will be able to go over if you do the transfer box and diffs at the same time and buy the oil for those as well.

Yes, i realise that but some people like the idea of synthetic oil in their gearboxes and it is cheaper than the Difflock Evolution 1 stuff that I've seen people rave about. I just offered it as a suggestion.
