Hi All, went to change the gearbox oil on my 54 plate TD5 expecting to see a 32mm nut for the drain plug. What I appear to have is a drain plug the same as the diffs i.e. fits the half inch drive socket end.
Always possible that it has been changed to make it easier to undo or so that you don't have to go buy large spanners to undo it. I guess if its the right thread, i would keep it as female 1/2" plugs are pretty much impossible to burr
