I have a Series two chassis I've had since almost 24 years while painting earlier I noticed the gearbox X member was looking worse than I thought, it is a civilian chassis, is it possible to buy this item, I have been told yes, but a later conversation revealed only for military spec chassis. Anyone know for sure?

most people fit the mill version these days simply as it's a bolt on version thus making dropping the GB possible

if the cross member is so bad that it needs replacement rather than plating what state is the rest of the chassis in ?

I've done a lot of work to the chassis and already spent a lot on it, without my own time. I think once I can replace the X member it will be ready to rebuild.
