Just a quick question ... what model gearbox is fitted to a 2002 p38 auto vogue? ive got one that needs fault reading but i need the software to do it and i beleve there are 3 types of box, the car is 60 miles away and i could do a full scan there to find the model but then id have to come home again buy the software then go back again.

im seeing this one? BOSCH AUTO BOX GS2.38 and this one BOSCH AUTO BOX GS8.87.1

AFAIK 2.38 petrol up to 1999
8.87 petrol from 1999

I am not sure about the diesel,but it may have had the 2.38 only.

My BBS FCR reads the 2.38 for my 99 DSE.

That's the ECU not the box, the late petrol ones had the CAN BUS ECU, it's described in RAVE

Sorry don't know the part numbers
