for an early Lt77 and transfer box i'm helping a mate fit in his 90 ...

i'm a Series person myself so i've no idea and he hasn't got a manual (Doh!) so any help would be welcome

It's ATF fluid for the gearbox (2.2 L) and EP90 (2.8 L) for the transfer box.

All in the workshop manual which you can download.

I would be tempted to try mtf94 in the gear box, really improves shift quality (available from your local land rover dealer)

thanks for the suggestions, the box and transfer are now in and filled

next on the list of jobs is to replace one door hinge, fit a new silencer box and fix a wonky indicator then it's off for mot, poor sod only got about 1200 miles out of it before it died and has been without it for about six months, so hopefully he'll be grinning again in the next week or two
