Hi all, just a short question. Has anyone had a clunking noise (other than the usual ones thrown about a freebie) coming from the rear end when releasing the clutch. This is happening through all gear changes and the car isn't loosing any power whilst it is happening. Am I right in thinking this could be a mounting or a bearing? or could it be the dreaded ird ? The car is running sweet bar the clunk. Can anyone shed some light on this please.

Check the front mounting on the rear diff. They wear out very frequently and allow the diff. to hit the bodywork. Cost about £20 and take less than an hour to change.
