Afternoon,

Just completed a full gearbox, t/box and axel oil change. From what came out it was needed! When I came to refit the drain plugs on everything none of the washers I had ordered were right, far too big, and there weren't any old ones on it! Looks like they had been sealed using lock tight. Iv had to finish the job using lock tight Myself so that it at least was done, there are no leaks to be seen after a good run out. From someone who has more experience, will this become an issue?

Cheers
Sean

It's a 2002 TD5, hopefully that will be it then, as I say there were none on it when I removed the plugs, but there was a copper washer on the engine drain plug. Probably why the ones I ordered were the wrong size too.

Cheers for that mate, little peace of mind!

Yea I read that bud didn't realise that meant no washers, it's the R380 gearbox which I believe is the newer one

Sorted then, well that's another thing done, making hay while the sun shines here in dundee!
