Evening all

Have been re-building my 90 over the past year but hit a problem have carried out a full re-build so chassis swap new bulk head new rear tub etc etc . but fitted my doors today and found that the door gad at the rear is crap. about 15mm at its worst on the drivers door back.

I know you can adjust the bulk head on the brackets that go from the front of the bulk head to the chassis. But should their be shims from the large bottom bolt's between the chassis to the bulk head??

hi
yes there is a shim plate each side between chassis an bulkhead, just taken my bulkhead off and spotted these, also the are washers on the bulkhead bolts to pack the bulkhead back, mine hade 3 penny washers between chassis and bulkhead on nearside and offside.
hope this helps!!!

i have the large aluminium shims between the angle brackets and the chassis. you say that their are washers between the large bottom bolts ether side.

I think you lot are talking at cross purposes.

The chassis to bulkhead bracket has shims, where the bulkhead bolts to the outriggers its just a standard washer - the distance between the tub and bulkhead is set by the inner sill - so if you packed this out you would have problems, its designed to to mounted hard against the outrigger.

yes that is what i mean, washers between bulkhead and chassis outrigger, shims go between bulkhead brackets and bulkhead!!

That is what i meant. the bolt where the bulk head goes to the chassis out rigger. so use a standard washers
